Tips from Tucker Max

I recently posted as my Facebook status "What is the next book I should read". I got several responses including:

• End the Fed-Ron Paul
• Myth of the Rational Voter
• Rasellas

However, one titled intrigued me, "I hope they serve beer in hell" by Tucker Max. I should have known what I was getting into, reading a book by a guy with two first names. But, I didn't feel like changing my political views at the very moment, so I gave it a shot.

I started off trying to find the book at the CSULB library. They didn't have it. That should have been sign number two.

So I decided I am going to make an investment to this blog and bought the book. That's right. $16.95 just so I could tell my readers out there, if any, what I thought about this book.

Well I started the book and realized why we didn't have this in a school library. It's raunchier than karma sutra books. Bascially, if you don't want to read about getting drunk, screwing girls(figuratively and literally), and then vomiting; this book is not for you.

For all the women out there, it is a handy way to know what those jerks are thinking in their heads and how to avoid them.

However Tucker Max taught me one good thing. He started off as a blogger, writing stories about his adventures. Essentially, he started off as no one. A few years later, everyone is reading his blog, buying his books, making a movie out of his life. Now, most of us don't want to post our sexcapades on the internet but that is not to say that we don't have something substantial to say. Or at least, I hope so. Have you read the book?
